Mwaleshi Camp is located in the very remote and wild location of North Luangwa National Park.
Set on a scenic bend of the Mwaleshi River, the camp thrives on its reputation as being a truly special place unlike any other. With just four thatched chalets built entirely of natural materials, uninterrupted views of the river and the en suite bathrooms open to the stars Mwaleshi offers you a genuine feeling of solitude and seclusion. Life in camp is comfortable yet refreshingly simple.

In an area of pristine wilderness where there are few roads the majority of activities are done on foot offering ample opportunity to see the variations in flora and fauna of the area and to experience the bush with all your senses.Buffaloes roam in vast numbers and with lions aplenty, game viewing is excellent. Cookson’s wildebeest, endemic to the Luangwa Valley, are abundant and spotted hyenas, particularly plentiful in numbers in the Mwaleshi area, specialize in hunting puku in the Mwaleshi River itself often in full view of the camp.
Spend 4 days exploring this unparalleled remote wilderness, mostly on foot, from the Luangwa/Mwaleshi confluence where 400 hippos compete for space, to the scenic Mwaleshi Falls said to be one of the best sights in Zambia.
